Tugboat Granny's Child Care Center and Preschool is a licensed childcare program that has been in existence since 2005 after expanding from a family child care program started in 1997.

I am Linda Poplin, and as captain of this program I have over 20 years experience working with children ranging from preschool, center childcare, family childcare and head start. I have an AAS in Early Childhood, Associate of Arts, and a Head Start Child Development Certificate. I take your trust in my staff and me very seriously.

• All of us at Tugboat Granny's strive every day to provide a loving, nurturing and learning environment for your child.
• Our staff has had criminal background checks, trained in First Aid and CPR and take annual early childhood training.
• We offer permanent child care slots, drop in care, and preschool.
• We take children ages 1 year to 11 years old.
• We provide home cooked meals, 3 playgrounds for various ages of children, children's rock garden, game room and basketball for older children, preschool room, toddler room, and multi-purpose play room with indoor play loft.
• We offer a daily schedule of group activities as well a free time choices.
• We plan our curriculum to meet the needs of the whole child, socially, emotionally, creatively, and intellectually.
• We offer a birthday party room for children's birthday parties that parents can rent either in the evenings or on Saturdays.
• We can arrange childcare at the local motels/resorts in Ocean Shores for conferences. We bring the staff, games, and crafts while conference attendees with children enjoy the conference. This must be coordinated through the agency or organization that is sponsoring the conference. (this service is not for individual families, please bring your child to our center for individual services).
